I am currently on the category update at 10%. Can someone (devs?) please give some guidance regarding how long the process should sit at any given point. For example, "If it sits at 10% for more than 30 minutes, start over." Sitting here not knowing if anything is happening is very irritating, and I suspect the spinning arrow would keep on spinning regardless of whether anything is actually happening. I'm wondering if an optional alternate process for updating categories would be better? Perhaps we could download a compressed file of updated category information and blackthorne could import it? At least we could see the progress of the download. Thanks! Tim |

It's done. The entire process took about 3 episodes of Green Acres. The 10% status took half of the time; it quickly went through 20-70%, then hung at 80% for a while. It then started over with ebay motors, which took about 1/3 as long as the core update. Tim |

I've observed it taking 10-45 minutes on mine & others' Blackthorne over the last few days when I've helped others upgrade. Sally - GOing1nceLLC Blackthorne Pro Training Free Quick Start Guide - http://www.going1nce.com/qsg.pdf Ad Template & eBay Store design

When you launch a 4.03.x version for the first time the category update might take longer than usual as there are new tables being populated because of the new compatibility feature in Motors categories. The subsequent category refreshes should take less time. Also, the percentage indicated on the progress bar reflects progress made as we are going through the API calls to eBay. Since some calls take significantly more time than others, the progress bar is not representative of the time it takes to make a category refresh. _____ Zoulfia Moret eBay Blackthorne software
