Lokk in the BT User Guide, and do a search on Best Offer. There isn't a lot about it, and I never use that option. Heres the link: http://www.blackthornesw.com/Robo/BIN/Robo.dll?tpc=%2Frobo%2Fprojects%2Fblackthornepro%2Fpart_1%2Fintroduction.htm%3FRINoLog28301%3DT&mgr=agm&project=BlackthornePro&wnd=BlackthornePro%7CBTWindow&agt=wsm&ctxid= "I can't see!, I can't see!" WHAT'S THE MATTER? "I got my eyes closed"

Best Offer doesn't work with Auction style - only Fixed Price. Cindy tom*cindy*stone & stone_etcetera It won't sell if it isn't listed.

Thanks for all of the suggestions..i now see where i can do that from a new listing....new question...how about for an item that i want to relist...how to convert it to a best offer scenario? this is what is happening for me...the format style box is grayed out. so can this auction just be converted somewhere in blackthorne to a fixed price auction with a best offer available? or do i have to recreate the auction in new auctions. thanks again! sally if you read this should i try to unearth my account under my seller id again? |

Jennifer, The term "relist" applies only to auctions. If an auction doesn't sell the first time and you relist, and it sells, you are credited with the insertion fee. But you knew that. The fee structure between auction and fixed price is very different. To accomplish what you want, highlight those completed auctions that you want to turn into Fixed Price with Best Offer. Right click and Go To Items for Selected Listings. Now you will have a "mini-filter" in Create Items that contains those entries. Use bulk change and change the type to Fixed Price. Also decide on your duration and whether you want to have Best Offer, etc. You can bulk change more than one thing at a time. Now you will have to enter the "Fixed Price" as everything will still have a "starting price" and that is a term for auctions only. Then you "Submit" (always use "Submit with Preview" to check for errors). I think that perhaps you are still confusing the two types (with sub-features) that you can offer on eBay. 1) Auction - you set an opening bid and a duration of so many days - not to exceed 10. You can, however, add a "Buy It Now" price (BIN) which has to be more than your opening bid price. If some one meets your BIN price, the auction ends early. 2) Fixed Price - you set the price and duration up to GTC - what you will sell it for. You can add the Best Offer option to this. You don't specify what that amount is. (You can set it to automatically reject certain offers, but I don't do that.) So a prospective buyer makes an offer and you are notified. You can then decide whether to accept it, counter it or decline it. Hope some of this helps. Cindy tom*cindy*stone & stone_etcetera It won't sell if it isn't listed.
