I just installed the latest version of Blackthorne so i could get ready to the July 27th Item Condition change and the dropdown box on item condition comes up blank. It does not give me a choice to make a selection.

According to the sell your item form on ebay i need to have an item condition listed on my items in this category.

What do i need to do to fix this blank dropdown on item condition? I have scoured the message board and cannot find an anwser to this.

I am running version 04.03.012 with a SQL Express 2005 database.

Any help is appreciated.

Have you tried running a Repair the Views, and/or Repair the Database?

Back up your database, exit BT.

Go to Start/Programs/eBay/Repair Blackthorne.

Run the repair the views first, then a repair the database.

Thanks for the advice Ruben!

I ran the repair views and it still showed the blank dropdown with no choices.

I ran the repair database and now the dropdown is completely gone. ????

Do i reinstall blackthorne again and see if that fixes it?

FYI- I just reinstalled Blackthorne and have the same issue now. There is no dropdown box now.

Any other ideas?

Does the correct database name show up at the top of the screen? It should read something like Your Computer Name/SQLEXPRESS/BTData.

If it does, then exit BT, go to Start/Programs/eBay/Blackthorne/eBay Blackthorne Repair Database.

Run the Repair the views again, then when that is finished do the Repair the Database.

I double checked the correct database is showing. Followed your instructions to the letter.

Reopened Blackthorne and still no drop down box.

I wonder what is causing this? This is starting to get frustrating.

Jimmy, just a couple of other things to try that i know of.

Try a Refresh of Item catagories and Specifics

Got to Refresh, Refrest Cats and Specifics.

Then you can also try a Refresh of Database from same Refresh tab at top of page.

Hi Ruben,

I tried those. Nothing changed. This is ultra frustrating. I called a friend, whose sql database and Blackthorne i setup for him, to ask if his is working properly and he sent me screenshots showing me it working properly.

I don't understand what it is about my installation that is causing this issue. I submitted a technical issue with the developers of blackthorne. Maybe they will be able to look into this a little deeper and find something that we are missing?

Hi Jimmy,
I just upgraded to SQL and ran into the same problem. I upgraded the categories before repairing views and database and the drop down box worked.

Maybe if you re-install and update the categories first it might fix the problem.

Hi Kevin,
I just upgraded to the newest version ( July 22nd release )this morning and it fixed it.

Now if only i could bulk change the 1000+ items to new condition.... Oh well, i am in a much better position this morning than i was yesterday.

We are seeing the same problem here... made a big upgrade jump from 3.169....

Still digging, refreshing, repairing to try to solve this one...

Just found Bulk Change Item Condition under Listing Actions. I'm out of the area but this appears the way to access this and not through the bulk change icon.

Wizards not required if this is it...

Hi,
I also updated to the latest version and not all menus are working ok. Yesterday i was able to do revise to include multiple variations on some itmes, but today i cant and the system shows me a different error each. Tiem, i have tried refreshing views but nothing seems to work

Dave is correct. Go to listing actions at the very top of the screen. In the Listing Action drop down there is a bulk feature for setting item condition. Worked like a charm for me.....
