I have not listed in 3 years but am up to date with paying for my account for the past 3 years. I began to try to list today and was receiving Error 240 and realized that I needed to update to the newest version. When I tried to do this: "You are running an old version of eBay Blackthorne. Before you can upgrade to the current version, you must first upgrade to 3.2.135. You can find 3.2.135 at http://www.blackthornesw.com/InstalleBayBlackthorne302135.exe. After downloading you must run the 3.2.123 installation before returning to run this installation." I go to the above forementioned website and it says: "The page cannot be found. The page you are looking for might have been removed, had its name changed, or is temporarily unavailable." So I go to the Blackthorne Discussion Group and click on Announcements and go to 3.2.135 version and click on the link and again get: "The page cannot be found" page on the internet. PLEASE HELP!!! Losing valuable time and am very frustrated!!! |

Hi Teresa, Error 240 is usually related to text in a listing that is not allowed by the eBay site, its not an issue related to the version of Blackthorne you are using. If it’s been three years since you listed on eBay, it’s likely you have text in the listing description that is no longer allowed on the site. Sellers are not allowed to use the following words in the description: Money Order Checks Insurance at buyer’s request I am not responsible for the item once it’s dropped in the mail. I am not responsible for lost or damaged items. If it’s been awhile since you listed on eBay, consider listing one or two items directly from site with the "Sell Your Item Form" to learn more about current listing rules. Upgrading: Error "you must first upgrade to 3.2.135" is usually related to a “Data” folder appearing in the program folder for Blackthorne, the data folder was moved to the Windows User application data folder in 2006. If the new install finds a Data folder it will show this error. 1. I suggest backing up your current database. • Go to "Tools-Database Administration" to create a backup, note the name and path so you know the latest backup. 2. Uninstall Blackthorne. • Windows Add/Remove Programs in the Control Panel 3. Delete the Blackthorne program folder in • C:\Program Files\eBay 4. Install Blackthorne version 3.2.184(3.2.184 is last supported version of 3.2) this version should allow your data to restore. • http://www.blackthornesw.com/184InstalleBayBlackthorne.exe 5 Once you have 3.2.184 open and running on your PC try restoring the database backup. • Go to "Tools-Database Administration" to restore the database Backup you created before uninstalling the older version.
