Version 4.02.014 is ready for beta test. Changes in this release as compared to v.4.01.016 are: - Added: Item Specifics sets Item Specifics sets allow you to assign or remove Item Specifics (IS) or Custom Item Specifics (CIS) information in bulk. You start by creating an IS set in Tools/Options/Presets & Sets/Item Specifics Sets. The set has to follow specific formatting rules in order to be valid. The format is as following: <istag>=<value1>|<value2>|<value3>|...<valuen>. Spaces before and after "=" and "|" don't matter. Example: Size=M Color=blue Style=Casual|Sportswear Once you create a set, you use it in conjunction with an action in Edit Item Specifics window or Bulk Edit. Here are the available actions: <change> deletes existing IS and applies IS from the set <merge> combines existing IS with IS in the set <replace> deletes exiting values and applies new values only from/to those IS that match IS in the set <remove> deletes values from IS that match IS values in the set - Added: Ability to edit Item Specifics in the grid You can now edit Item Specifics directly in the grid. The format has to follow specific rules in order to be valid: <istag>=<value1>|<value2>|<value3>|...<valuen>. Spaces before and after "=" and "|" don't matter. - Added: Show each Item Specific in a separate sub-window Edit Item Specifics window now shows each Item Specific in a separate sub-window allowing to move faster and avoid scroll-downs between Item Specifics. - Added: Specify quantity to print on packing slips We have added the ability to specify how many packing slips you would like to print in Print Packing Slip window. - Added: Link to PayPal transaction page You can now go directly to the PayPal transaction page when clicking on the PayPal Transaction ID in the details view of a listing. - Added: eBay Notes in Blackthorne A new section called eBay Notes has been added to the Listings details page. It shows eBay messages for a given listing. For example, underperforming fixed price listings flagged by eBay will show the message "Without a recent sale" both on eBay and in the eBay Notes field in Blackthorne. - Added: New "Without a recent sale" filter A new "Without a recent sale" filter has been created that shows listings flagged as "Without a recent sale" by eBay in the eBay Notes section. - Added: New "Previously Store" filter Once the Store Inventory Format merges with Fixed Price, a new "Previously Store" filter will show items that used to have the SIF and have become Fixed Price. - Added: Populate the "Actual Shipping" field when using UPS Worldship Blackthorne now populates the "Actual Shipping" field from UPS Worldship. However, Worldship contains a bug that prevents Blackthorne from getting the actual shipping rates. Here is what you need to do in Worldship in order for it to work properly. These steps only need to be done once: 1. In Worldship go to Tools-> Shipper Editor... 2. Select the shipper number and click Modify 3. On Rating Preferences tab under Shipping and Shipping History Windows select CCC Rates in the pull down menu for Primary 4. Check CCC Rates box under Rates Stored and click OK 5. Now you have to undo the changes you just made :-). Select the shipper number and click Modify again 6. On Rating Preferences tab under Shipping and Shipping History Windows select Published in the pull down menu for Primary 7. Un-check CCC Rates box under Rates Stored and click OK, then Close - Added: Controlling print order for Packing Lists This feature is back! The Packing Lists are now printed in the order defined by the current sort and grouped by Order ID. - Fixed: Database repair and MAPI issues with UAC option ON The issues where database repairs could not be run and MAPI emails could not be sent with UAC (User Access Control) option ON on Vista and Windows 7 machines have been resolved. - Fixed: Preset name removed and set to custom The issue where existing preset names were removed and set to <custom> has been resolved. The issue happened when a preset content was changed without updating active listings using the preset. - Fixed: Error when switching from "Will not ship - local pickup only" The issue where users were getting an error when switching from "Will not ship - local pickup only" to "Will ship to my home country and to the following locations" has been fixed. - Fixed: Listing with domestic promotional shipping rule sets it for international as well Checking the "Apply my promotional shipping rule" option on the Domestic tab in the Shipping Preset used to set the promotional rule for International as well. This bug has been fixed. - Added: Variations information to the Packing Lists You can now specify variations information on the Packing Lists in the Design View. The default Packing List has also been updated to show variation information. - Fixed: Shiprush FedEx services list not up-to-date The list of FedEx services from Shiprush has been updated in Blackthorne. - Fixed: Errors creating and duplicating items The issue where creating or duplicating items showed an error when the grid grouping was used has been fixed. - Fixed: Unable to use Bulk Change Item Specifics option for CIS The issue where the users weren't able to use Bulk Change Item Specifics menu option for changing Custom Item Specifics has been fixed. - Fixed: Error 5013 String value for "TagName" is too long. Maximum length is "30". We have removed the limitation for the number of characters in Custom Item Specifics value names. However, if you specify a CIS value name that is too long for eBay, the API will reject it. - Fixed: Not able to list to Canada Motors The issue where users were not able to list to CA Motors site due to Error 5000 (Missing Subtitle) has been fixed. - Fixed: Incorrect Listing Fees on some sales Users were seeing incorrect listing fees in Blackthorne in some cases. This has now been fixed. - Fixed: Lot size resets to 1 The issue where a set lot size resets to 1 when switching to another record has been fixed. - Fixed: Show full list of available charities Blackthorne now shows the entire list of available eBay Giving Works charities. - Fixed: Errors editing and creating suppliers The issue where users were unable to edit existing or create new suppliers has been fixed. - Fixed: Item Specifics sticking with item records The issue where the Item Specifics information was sticking with item records even after clearing it in the Edit Item Specifics and Multi-Variations window has been resolved. - Fixed: Some Item Specifics not sent to eBay upon Bulk Change The issue where some bulk changed Item Specifics were not sent to eBay correctly has been resolved. - Fixed: Certain Item Specifics not shown in Bulk Change Item Specifics The issue where some Item Specifics were not shown in "Bulk Change Item Specifics" but were visible in Edit Item Specifics and Multi-Variations window has been resolved. - Fixed: Certain Item Specifics not shown in preview The issue where some of the Item Specifics were not shown in preview window has been resolved. - Fixed: Bulk Change Item Specifics triggers an error message The issue where selecting "Bulk Change Item Specifics" menu option would sometimes trigger an error message has been resolved. - Fixed: Cannot revise imported listings The bug where users could not revise in Blackthorne listings imported from eBay has been resolved. - Fixed: Relist/Revise not sending correct Item Specifics information to eBay The issue where Relist and Revise operations were not sending correct Item Specifics to eBay has been resolved. - Changed: Store Inventory Format has been deprecated The Store Inventory Format (SIF) has been deprecated in Blackthorne. Listings using SIF have been converted to regular Fixed Price listings with their original duration. - Fixed: Cannot Revise to add more than 6 pictures using EPS The issue where users could not revise listings to add more than 6 pictures using EPS has been resolved. - Fixed: Prior catalog data retained on duplicated items The issue where prior catalog data was retained on duplicated items after a category change has been resolved. - Fixed: Fedex tracking numbers are not showing The issue where Fedex tracking numbers were not showing in Blackthorne has been resolved. - Fixed: Only one EPS picture displayed when using Ad Templates The problem where only one EPS image was displayed when using Ad Templates has been resolved. - Fixed: Error creating consignment plan The issue where a consignment plan could not be created in new Blackthorne installations has been resolved. - Fixed: ProStores single sales paired up with unrelated sales to create orders The issue where ProStores sales were paired up with unrelated sales to create orders has been resolved. Make sure you backup your current database before installing the new version. For that, go to "Tools/Database Administration" in Blackthorne to create a backup. Note the name and location so you know where to find the backup.
